I am so grateful you have come by to learn and grow with us.
I’m a teacher, life-long learner, and mother. My mission is to help parents and care givers bridge the gap between what our children are learning at school and what we can do at home to support those skills to strive for greater success. I will be sharing some tools to help you plan engaging, meaningful lessons with your little ones to infuse learning into your everyday. And I am also here to be your cheerleader because I believe each of us can make a difference when it comes to education.
When I was growing up, my church adopted the philosophy “it takes a village to raise a child.” This phrase has always resonated with me. I wholeheartedly believe that it takes everyone to raise and educate our children.
I also want to dig into some of the educational “buzz words” like fluency, retelling, and fact families, help explain why they are a focus, and then what we can do to help our children with these concepts at home beyond a homework sheet.
As a parent of young children, I’m continuously reminded that we are our children’s first teachers (no pressure, right?). But the day we drop them off at their kindergarten classroom doesn’t mean we’re finished. There is always room for growth.
I would love to meet you, learn about your loves, and hear your story.
